West Haven, CT
April 23, 1982
audience recording (sound quality VG+; transfer from master tape; as usual, the house sound needs a little time to get adjusted; there’s some crowd noise, but not much for what must've been a club show…)
Repercussion:
In the early 1980s, Gene Holder produced the debut EP and subsequent LP by The
Individuals (with the latter engineered by Mitch Easter at Mitch’s
Drive-In Studio). Later, Gene cut back his involvements with The dB’s (and eventually
departed) in order to join The Wygals, which was formed with two members of The
Individuals after the latter disbanded. Not long after The Individuals broke
up, Glenn Morrow became an early-in-the-game business partner at Bar/None Records — the same label
that released The dB’s Falling Off the
Sky in 2012. Clear enough for you??
BIG THANKS to Alex Butterfield and the uploader for sharing. (This recording is Alex Butterfield Archive No. ABA-026-2)

Learn more about The Individuals and
and the Wygals in turn begot Splendora, who I belatedly discovered last year achieved some renown as a non-album track of theirs is a theme song for a MTV show.
ReplyDeleteNo kidding! Didn't know that.
