audience recording (quality: VG+; clear, crisp recording with very little crowd noise — because there wasn’t much of a crowd!)
PARTICULAR THANKS to jefft for recording and sharing
REPERCUSSION: Peter Holsapple was in the Continental Drifters with Susan (they also were married for a time and have a child in common). Oh yeah: and they made some exquisite music together. If you aren't familiar with them, do check out the Continental Drifters.

LOTS O’ THANKS to the taper and sharer (who is/are unknown to me)
REPERCUSSION: Many moons ago, Peter Holsapple produced the Psycho Sisters’ single “Timberline” / “This Painting”. He also played in the Continental Drifters with both of these fine, talented women.
CHECK OUT THE PSYCHO SISTERS’ recently-released album, Up On the Chair, Beatrice (one of the great overlooked gems of 2014). It’s got both songs from the single and 8 others for your listening pleasure.

The Drifters were easily one of the very best bands it was my good fortune to see live a few times.
ReplyDeleteYears ago there was a mid 90's recording of the Psycho Sisters w/ Peter shared on the Dime, which I sadly lost in a hard drive failure. Would love to hear that one again.
You and me BOTH, lucky! If you ever get a copy, I would love to hear it...
