To my knowledge, Geffen Records didn't think they could get it on radio/MTV and opted to cut him from the label -- but kept the masters so they couldn't be commercially released. Typical Major Label move. Yes Don Dixon was the producer (and bassist). Peter and I stayed at a condo near the studio for a week and were always up late talking. Maybe these recordings can be heard somehow. Thanks for bringing them to light.Bill Bonkhttp://www.billbonk.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3396438499693365022.post-32083430944979828052018-02-15T11:49:08.602-05:002018-02-15T11:49:08.602-05:00Hello Anonymous. The good news is that you can find Attaway's In Thrall very cheaply at places like Amazon (at last check, they were selling used copies of the CD for pennies plus shipping).Rob-in-Brevardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00532844419280599147noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3396438499693365022.post-63305196553040222302018-02-15T11:33:52.417-05:002018-02-15T11:33:52.417-05:00Hi, thanks for Delirium! Jon Poe is a unique drummer; his playing reminds me of Keith Moon without the excess. Poe makes orchestral noises on a kit a third the size of Keith's.

But I digress. This is one great (non) album. It is a symptom of the disease that fell upon the US record industry that this was not released.

Both Murray Attaway and Jon Poe (and all of GD, actually) deserve to be stars.Logan Watersnoreply@blogger.com
